The Russian mobile app store RuStore has surpassed 100 million installations. Last year, the service became available to e-book users.
Last year, the number of app installations tripled. According to RuStore, the app's popularity is due to uninterrupted and reliable access to services, the ability to make purchases in various ways, security, and a wide selection of apps.
The most popular model with the Russian app store is Xiaomi Redmi Note 13.
According to Oleg Afanasyev, RuStore's product director, the app store has significantly expanded its presence on various operating systems and devices over the past year. He recalled that RuStore first appeared on e-books and TVs last year, and is now available on projectors, Hi-Fi audio players, and game consoles.
RuStore is the official Russian app store for Android, HarmonyOS, and Aurora OS, developed by VK. Since its launch in May 2022, RuStore's monthly audience in Russia has exceeded 50 million people.
In November, the State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill on installing RuStore on iPhones. The initiative aims to reduce dependence on foreign services and support Russian developments.
