Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, which is preparing to launch production of a seven-seat frame SUV under the Sollers brand, will assemble cars in full cycle. This means that all stages of production will be carried out at the plant, including welding and painting of bodies and frames.

The new Sollers SUV will be based on the JAC T9 pickup. The model is expected to go into production in Ulyanovsk at the industrial park site at the beginning of next year. The company's CEO, Alexey Spirin, noted that the car will receive a 2.0-liter 200 hp turbo engine paired with an eight-speed automatic.

The JAC T9, on which the SUV will be based, shares common technical solutions with well-known models Toyota Hilux and Land Cruiser, in particular, the frame and suspension, which promises high cross-country ability and reliability of the new car.
