The company "GLONASS" will launch a drone identification system based on the state information system (GIS) "ERA-GLONASS". The complex will be able to forcibly interrupt the flights of violating drones, said Alexey Raikevich, General Director of the company.
In the event of the detection of legal unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the zone of protected objects, such a system will be able to intercept control and land them.
In the new system, cryptography will actually be used for the first time in the Russian Federation to form secure communication lines with drones.
The transport monitoring platform based on the GIS "ERA-GLONASS" will be able to transmit legally significant data, tracks of aircraft to regional situation centers and operational headquarters, and federal systems of supervisory authorities in real time.
The drone identification system is based on the use of external and built-in trackers with an integrated X-SIM card. These devices operate in the "ERA-GLONASS" communication network, which provides maximum radio coverage in Russia.
