Chinese brands spent 2.2 billion rubles on advertising on VK and ranked second in spending after Russian brands

In 2024, Chinese companies almost tripled their advertising spending on VK. This was announced by Yakov Stinsky, Product Director of VK Advertising.

At the end of 2024, the total amount of spending on promotion by Chinese advertisers on VK amounted to 2.2 billion rubles. Of these, 1.5 billion rubles fell on the first three quarters of the year.

During this period, Chinese companies accounted for about 3% of VK's total advertising revenue. For January–September 2024, it amounted to more than 65 billion rubles. VK has not yet published a financial report for the full year 2024.

According to information provided by VK, the share of advertisers from China was much lower before: in 2023, it was less than 1%. However, in 2024, they took second place in terms of promotion spending, second only to Russian brands.
