The air temperature around the combat blocks of the Russian medium-range missile "Oreshnik" reaches 3500 °C during flight due to hypersonic speed. This was reported by military expert Viktor Litovkin.
According to him, the United States is experiencing problems in developing such equipment. They do not have alloys capable of withstanding such thermal conditions.
The speed of "Oreshnik" is 10 Machs (1 Mach is equal to 1225.1 km/h). Therefore, it has not only great explosive energy, but also kinetic energy. Thanks to this, it is able to penetrate concrete and armored floors.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the temperature on the warheads of the "Oreshnik" missilesis comparable to the temperature on the surface of the Sun.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Rosoboronexport's order portfolio exceeded $60 billion.
