African countries have shown great interest in the Russian "Typhoon-Air Defense" combat vehicle, according to Vyacheslav Dzirkaln, Deputy General Director for Foreign Economic Activity at Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defence Corporation.
A number of CIS and Asia-Pacific countries are interested in the vehicle. African countries are directly expressing their interest. This is more about countries where there are no such large complexes, no cruise missiles, and so on. Rather, such local conflicts.
One of the main tasks of the "Typhoon-Air Defense" vehicle is to cover military units and subdivisions, including on the march. The vehicle allows firing from a machine gun on the move at speeds up to 20 km/h.
In order for the detachment to be able to conduct combat operations without leaving the vehicle, a rotating turret with a mount for the "Kord" machine gun and a hatch for the machine gunner are installed on its roof. The second hatch is intended for the operator of the man-portable air defense system.

- Special armored capsule inside the combat vehicle

- 9 anti-aircraft guided missiles in launch tubes
