Footage of the export version of the Russian Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system (SAM) at the National Training Center Fort Irwin in Californiahas appeared online.
According to the Telegram channel "Military Informant", the United States removed the system from Libya in 2020 during the fighting for Tripoli.
The US Air Force took the system from the Zuwarah airport, located east of Tripoli, and delivered it to Ramstein Air Base in Germany. Then the "Pantsir" in excellent condition was transported to the USA, where it is still running.
Main characteristics of the Pantsir-S1 SAM system, using the example of hitting an aircraft with an effective scattering area of 2 m² and a flight speed of 300 m/s:
- Missile armament in range - 1200-20000 m, in height - 15-15000 m
- Gun armament in range - 200-4000 m, in height - 0-3000 m
- Number of simultaneously targeted targets - 4
- Maximum speed of targets hit - 1000 m/s
