The cost of manufacturing sensors using the new method will be only 10 thousand rubles

Employees of Penza State University (PSU), in collaboration with scientists from Kazakhstan, have developed an innovative technology for manufacturing sensors for the rocket and space and aviation industries. This method allows reducing the cost of sensor production by five times. It is expected that using the new method, the cost of a sensor will be only 10 thousand rubles.

The key advantage of the new technology is the replacement of expensive and scarce materials, as well as the simplification of the production process. Scientists have developed a method that allows connecting semiconductors with glass, alumina ceramics, silicon, and metal coatings under much lighter technological conditions than in existing analogues. This eliminates the need for high-temperature soldering and complex bonding technologies.

Our proposal makes it possible to connect semiconductors with glass parts, alumina ceramics, silicon, with any coatings (both metallic and non-metallic) under fairly light technological conditions.

The new technology significantly reduces the time for sensor production: if the process used to take 3-4 hours, now it will be carried out in just one hour. This approach not only reduces the cost of production but also increases its strength and durability.

Prototypes have already been created, and an Eurasian patent has been obtained for the invention.
