An improved version of the ammunition for the Kornet anti-tank missile system - the Bulat guided missile - has been developed for the Russian military. This was announced by Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of the Rostec cluster of weapons, ammunition and special chemistry.
"Bulat is adapted for use as part of the ammunition load of the Kornet-EM ATGM and is designed to engage medium-armored vehicles and enemy firing points at a distance of up to 3500 m.
Unlike the standard 152 mm caliber 9M133M-2 ATGMs and 9M133FM-3 multi-purpose missiles from the Kornet ATGM, the 9M134 missiles have a caliber of 82 mm and armor penetration of 250 mm.
Nevertheless, the weight of the product is only 6.5 kg with a launch container, while the weight of the 9M133M-2 in the TPK is 31 kg.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostec has begun developing a replacement for fighter pilots with artificial intelligence.
