Russian MiG-35 and Su-30MKI fighters are excellent combat aircraft. This assessment of Russian-made aircraft was given by former Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot Suman Sharma.
Russian fighters are excellent, and the Indian Air Force has been using them since the very beginning — the 1950s and 1960s. That is why they form the basis of the Indian Air Force's combat fleet.
Sharma added that she had flown both aircraft and called their combat performance "excellent." The pilot noted that a twin-engine fighter is always considered safer than a single-engine one.
Also, during the Aero India 2025 exhibition, Suman personally tested a VR simulator of the latest fifth-generation Su-57E fighter.
I had an excellent experience. The simulator is very modern, the maneuverability is excellent. Working on this simulator gave me a completely realistic experience of flying a Su-57E fighter. I was on the ground, but at the same time it was as if I was really flying the plane. A wonderful simulator.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia has invented a way to combat fiber-optic controlled drones.
