RT-Information Security (part of Rostec) has developed a digital solution called "Anti-Cipher" to counter ransomware. This software is used by fraudsters to steal or destroy data for financial gain and espionage.
"Anti-Cipher" is a new module of the domestic ecosystem for ensuring digital protection RT Protect EDR, created in Rostec. It allows you to analyze all OS processes running in real time. Blocking of malicious operations occurs at the stage of attempting to execute them, and not post factum. This prevents the transformation, deletion, or theft of data.
Ransomware poses a huge danger to such companies. A successful cyberattack can strike not just at the business, causing multi-million dollar losses, but even at national security. Statistics say that most cyberattacks in Russia are currently politically motivated. Their goal is not to obtain financial gain, for example, a ransom for stolen data, but espionage and sabotage. "Anti-Cipher" will strengthen the protection of domestic enterprises from such actions.
The new module is capable of independently terminating both individual malicious programs and their groups. In addition, "Anti-Cipher" automatically saves important files when attempting to modify or delete them to a local secure storage.
Backup works in parallel with other protective mechanisms, so you can restore data after repelling cyberattacks.
