Warming Relations with the West Will Help Export SJ-100 Abroad — Aviation Expert Evdokimov

Easing of sanctions could lead to large-scale changes in the Russian aviation industry

Economist, aviation expert, and president of ATEO Air, Oleg Evdokimov, believes that the situation in the Russian aviation market may change in the near future.

According to him, the expected warming of relations between Russia and the West may lead to the lifting of sanctions, which will open up opportunities for exporting the domestic SJ-100, as well as the return of new Airbus aircraft to Russia.

"The lifting of sanctions is inevitable, as the global economy is suffering from disintegration. This will create conditions for the Superjets to enter international markets, as well as restore the supply of Western aircraft to Russia," Evdokimov said.

The expert noted that the airline S7 is already negotiating the transfer of idle A321neo to airlines of friendly countries, including carriers from Africa and the Middle East. The issue is being discussed with the Ministry of Transport, and Evdokimov is confident in the support of the authorities.
