Uralvagonzavod has launched the first Elli fast charging station for electric vehicles (ZSE) in Nizhny Tagil. The station's power is 150 kW, and it will charge the vehicle's battery up to 80% in 20 minutes. This was reported by the Rostec press service.
The ZSE is located on Saldinsky Highway. Currently, the station is one of the most modern and powerful in the city. The equipment consists of Russian components.
Currently, there are about 40-50 electric vehicles and rechargeable hybrids in Nizhny Tagil. In general, the number of electric vehicles in Russia has exceeded 60 thousand.
The head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, stated that over time, batteries will replace internal combustion engines (ICE). Electric traction transport is no less efficient, while being safe for the environment.
