The car market is growing: in January 2025, it increased by 7% compared to last year. Sales of Russian cars increased by 28%.
In the first month of the new year, more than 102 thousand new cars were sold in Russia. Almost half of them are Russian brands.
Sales of light commercial vehicles increased by 11% and amounted to 7,846 units. Sales of trucks and buses in January 2025 fell by 29% and 32%, respectively.
Passenger cars became more popular by 11%, 88,554 cars were sold. However, compared to December, sales fell by 30% for the market as a whole and by 27% in the passenger car segment.
In January, AvtoVAZ sold 20.8 thousand cars. Sales of the Lada Vesta model increased by 29.4% and reached 6.2 thousand units. The most popular car was the Lada Granta, with sales of 8.3 thousand units.
