Rear-wheel drive "Sobol NN" and "Gazelle NN" cars with modernized fifth-class environmental engines with a volume of 2.5 liters and a capacity of 150 hp of the Euro-5 standard have appeared on sale in Russia. This was announced by the editor-in-chief of the magazine "Behind the Wheel" Maxim Kadakov.
He clarified that these power units use a turbocharger with electronic control, a throttle valve, a particulate filter, a catalytic converter and an exhaust gas recirculation system.
The exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system allows you to direct part of the exhaust gases into the intake manifold to replace excess oxygen, thereby reducing nitrogen oxide emissions. The composition of the mixture is regulated by an electronic engine control unit that affects the recirculation valve and the throttle valve.
In models with a five-speed gearbox, such as "Gazelle NEXT" and "Gazelle CITY", the Euro-5 engine is designated G51A, it develops a torque of up to 330 N·m.
For "Sobol NN" and "Gazelle NN" models with a six-speed gearbox, the G51C engine modification is intended, which has a maximum torque increased to 420 N·m.
Earlier www1.ru reported that "Gazelle" and "Sobol" received new modern options.
