In 2026, Russia will launch four devices into orbit that will provide high-speed broadband internet to the entire country, including the Arctic. This was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Next year, it is planned to launch four communication spacecraft into a highly elliptical orbit, which will provide, among other things, broadband access to fast internet throughout the Russian Federation, including the Arctic zone.

According to him, a year later, Russia will create the basis for its own low-orbit constellation. It will be formed on the basis of Russian technological solutions, Mishustin pointed out.

In the future, about 300 devices will operate, which will be able to fully cover the needs of not only Russia, but also all countries of the Eurasian Union in cheap and fast, and most importantly, reliable internet.
