T-Bank became the first major credit institution in Russia to replace the technological corporate certification authority (CA, or Certification Authority) from American Microsoft with a domestic Safetech solution.
The technology ensures the authentication of users, devices, and digital resources, including websites. The transition is already complete, however, T-Bank has not yet disclosed how much it cost.
The corporate certification center acts as a "digital passport control," confirming the legitimacy of participants in internal systems. Such infrastructure is critical for the security of transactions and protection against cyberattacks. The Safetech solution, unlike foreign counterparts, is adapted to the requirements of Russian legislation and information security standards.
Replacing imported IT solutions with domestic ones reduces the risks of sanctions and increases the stability of financial institutions. For the bank's customers, this means enhanced protection of personal data.
