At the 2024 year-end press conference, AvtoVAZ head Maxim Sokolov discussed the connection between the Lada and XCite brands. He confirmed that XCite cars, including the X-Cross 7 and X-Cross 8, can be purchased at all Lada dealerships.
According to the head of AvtoVAZ, the loyalty programs and quality standards in place at the company apply to both brands. However, Sokolov avoided answering a question about the owner of XCite.
XCite cars are produced at the plant in St. Petersburg, which was previously owned by AvtoVAZ. Currently, plans for the production of XCite remain uncertain.
In the first quarter of 2025, AvtoVAZ will launch mass production of Lada Iskra. The car will be equipped with 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engines producing 90 and 106 horsepower. Various modifications will be available with a Chinese CVT or a six-speed manual transmission. The model may fill the niche between the Granta and Vesta.
AvtoVAZ has also seriously updated the legendary Lada Niva. The SUV received new LED daytime running lights.
