An original guitar called Saolla has been developed in Russia, featuring only one string and the ability to connect to a smartphone to convert the sound into the desired notes. The team from Moscow, Tomsk, and Yekaterinburg hopes that this invention will make playing the guitar more accessible to beginners.
Ease of playing — you will be able to play your first compositions just 5-10 minutes after getting acquainted with the instrument. No more years of training are needed to enjoy music. Fingers don't get tired, and calluses don't form.
To play, simply follow the rhythm set by the smartphone application. The developers suggest using Saolla in various situations: from home practice and karaoke to stage performances. Currently, the team is working on a prototype of the device, which is undergoing testing. The technology is already protected by a patent, but the release date and cost remain unknown.
