New Fortis Plant Plans to Produce Up to 120 Units of Equipment per Year

The Fortis machine-building enterprise, specializing in the production of trailers and semi-trailers for the transportation of petroleum products, technical and food liquids, has been launched in the Ulyanovsk region. The plant is located in an industrially developed settlement, which allows efficient use of local infrastructure and logistics.

At the first stage of launch, equipment worth 23 million rubles was purchased. The second stage involves investments of 122.5 million rubles to organize a full production cycle. The expected capacity of the plant will be 120 trailer units per year. Currently, the company already has contracts for the production of 50 units in 2025.

General Director Dmitry Kuznetsov noted that thanks to localization, many imported components, including lights, have been replaced with domestic ones. However, the axles still remain imported. Production is partially provided by equipment purchased for the plant's own needs.

The company has created 55 jobs. In December 2024, the company was approved for a preferential loan from the federal Industrial Development Fund in the amount of over 147 million rubles. This project also partially fills the deficit that has arisen in the market due to reduced imports, covering 3% of the total market volume.
