KMZ Modified RPK-640 Boat

The improved vessel can reach speeds of up to 70 kilometers per hour

Specialists from the shipbuilding department of SKB-1 KMZ have modified the RPK-640 patrol boat of project 04430. This was reported by the company's press service.

The boat has a rigid hull and a closed cabin. It is designed for inspection work, patrolling, and operational activities as a service and passenger water transport and rescue water transport in inland waters and coastal areas of the seas.

The main characteristics of the boat remained unchanged, so the modified version turned out to be as stable and manageable as the original, and also develops a speed of up to 70 kilometers per hour.

At the request of the customer, the designers equipped the boat with an automatic anchor winch for remote raising and lowering of the anchor. This simplifies the operation of the vessel in strong winds, waves, or currents. To facilitate engine maintenance, folding crinolines were installed on the boat, one of which houses a folding ladder. This approach simplified boarding.

Earlier www1.ru reported that KMZ tested the new RX-1173 boat for the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
