They Won't Catch Us: It Will Take the US at Least 50 Years to Create Air Defense Against "Oreshnik"

Military Expert Glazunov: Russia is Far Ahead of the US in Missile Technology

It will take the United States at least 50 years to create an air defense system capable of withstanding the Russian medium-range missile "Oreshnik." This was reported to Lenta.ru by Oleg Glazunov, Associate Professor of the Department of Political Analysis and Socio-Psychological Processes at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, a military expert.

According to him, the air defense system in the United States has long been outdated. It is not able to contain modern generation missiles, not only "Oreshnik", but also many others.

It will probably take them 50 years. We are ahead of the US in missile technology and air defense systems.
Oleg Glazunov, military expert

"Oreshnik" is a solid-propellant ballistic missile on a mobile chassis with a warhead equipped with several individually guided warheads, which can be in both conventional and nuclear equipment.

This weapon can be used with a guaranteed ability to hit any target at a range of up to 5,000 km without the enemy's real ability to counter anything in terms of interception.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the United States recognized the superiority of the Soviet T-34 tank over the Sherman.
