ERA-GLONASS Transmitted Over 92,000 Emergency Calls Related to Accidents in a Year

December 2024 Became the Most Accident-Prone Month

In 2024, the ERA-GLONASS system transmitted over 92,000 emergency calls to emergency services. This is 10% more than in 2023.

Throughout the system's operation, 434,000 calls related to accidents have been recorded. December 2024 was a record month, with 10,300 emergency calls registered.

Alexey Raikevich, the company's CEO, noted that 83% of the messages over the year were received through the automatic activation of SOS buttons or emergency call devices in vehicles. The receipt of such messages indicates that the victims are unable to call for help on their own.

The ERA-GLONASS system helps emergency services respond faster. On average, the coordinates of the incident location are transmitted in 19 seconds, which reduces the arrival time of rescuers at the accident site by approximately 50%.
