The firing range of the domestic Uragan multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) allows the unit to be used to combat enemy artillery. The capabilities of the complex were revealed by the Ministry of Defense.
The department reported the destruction of targets at a distance of over 30 km, which were identified using reconnaissance drones.
The high range and large area of destruction of the multiple launch rocket system makes it possible to conduct effective counter-battery combat and attack rear positions.
The unit on a four-axle wheeled chassis carries 16 guides with 220 mm caliber rockets. The standard high-explosive projectile carries a warhead weighing 100 kg. The maximum firing range of the Uragan is 35 km.
