The Russian government has отказалось от финансирования создания дронопортов as part of the federal project "Development of infrastructure, ensuring safety and the formation of a specialized certification system for unmanned aircraft systems" of the national project "Unmanned Aircraft Systems" (BAS).
According to Vedomosti, the decision is due to the fact that the creation of such infrastructure at airports has been признано неактуальным at the current stage of industry development. The project involves postponing the implementation deadlines by at least three years.
By 2030, Russia планировалось to open 241 sites for the reception and operation of unmanned aerial vehicles in 84 regions, including 49 zones at airfields in seven constituent entities of the Russian Federation. In 2025, it was планировалось to equip sites at 12 airfields of federal property.
As experts explained, the development of the UAV industry is possible without special infrastructure, which made investing in droneports a secondary task.
