The "High-Precision Systems" holding (part of the Rostec State Corporation) has delivered another batch of "Depesha" ground drones to the Russian army. These multifunctional, remotely controlled platforms on a wheeled chassis were manufactured as part of a state defense order.
The vehicles are equipped with special modules. The design of the "Depesha" allows various equipment to be mounted on them. Thanks to this, the platform can be used for a wide range of tasks. For example, it is capable of quickly delivering cargo weighing up to 200 kg to the front line - provisions, fuel, equipment, as well as evacuating the wounded to the rear.
Engineers have created an inexpensive, compact, multi-purpose complex. Depending on its configuration, it is capable of delivering goods and performing other tasks. Today, we are creating software and hardware solutions that can turn virtually any combat vehicle, including a tank, infantry fighting vehicle, or self-propelled gun, into a robot. This approach allows the use of equipment in the most dangerous areas without risk to our soldiers.
The drone has high maneuverability and has an independent suspension. The maximum platform speed is 30 km/h, and it can travel long distances. The elements of robotization of the "Depesha" are provided by the "Prometheus" software and hardware complex.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that a homemade buggy will enter service with Russian soldiers.
