Reshetnev Company Presents Mobile Radiotherapy Complex Prototypes

Three-year work on medical equipment for cancer treatment completed in collaboration with Tomsk Polytechnic University and Research Institute of Oncology

In 2024, specialists from JSC "Reshetnev" created two prototypes of a mobile radiotherapy complex (MRTC). The satellite builders worked on this medical equipment for the treatment of oncological diseases for three years, in collaboration with Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) and the Research Institute of Oncology of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Reshetnev Company initiated and primarily executed the project. The company's specialists developed the necessary design and technological documentation, created software, manufactured the constituent elements of the medical complex, and conducted factory tests.

The equipment incorporates unique design, technological, and software solutions, including a support-rotary device that ensures smooth operation and automatic targeting of the emitter.

The complex is based on betatron technology — a cyclic electron accelerator developed by scientists at Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU).

Currently, the MRTC prototype manufactured at Reshetnev Company has undergone initial technical checks at TPU. In the future, the mobile radiotherapy complex will undergo clinical and certification trials.
