Video footage of the flight of the newest Russian "Molniya" fixed-wing drone has appeared online. The footage was published by the Telegram channel @infomil_live.
The drone has once again broken all records, visiting a territory within 35 km of the nearest line of combat contact.
The UAV operates in FPV drone mode under operator control. At the same time, elements of artificial intelligence are integrated into the "Molniya", which help the drone find its target in conditions of electronic interference.
"Molniya-2" is equipped with a catapult; a compressor creates pressure, and the system "blows" the drone into flight with a sharp burst of air. The UAV is controlled using a remote control and special goggles, just like FPV drone control. Military personnel change the point of basing with each new launch, which allows them to remain незамеченными for the enemy.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian fiber optic FPV drones proved to be completely invulnerable to electronic warfare at the forefront. The new type of UAV does not require careful selection of position and is protected from video signal interception.
