Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the government to support Russian regions in the use of safe artificial intelligence technologies in public administration. The document was published on the Kremlin website.
In particular, the government of the Russian Federation is tasked with providing methodological assistance to the regions in the use of safe and reliable artificial intelligence technologies in state and municipal administration based on unified industry digital platforms. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin must submit a report on this issue by May 15, 2025.
A separate instruction is given to the government of the capital. It is proposed to consider the possibility of creating an international center demonstrating the technological successes of the city of Moscow, including developments in the field of artificial intelligence.
Putin also instructed the government to accelerate the development of unmanned aviation in order to ensure the country's technological leadership in this area. The head of state also pointed out the need to take measures to promote the active development of autonomous intelligent transport systems in Russia. The plans include creating a regulatory framework that will contribute to the rapid introduction and improvement of these systems.
