The Novgorod Museum Reserve, on the eve of the New Year holidays, has launched a tourist online project that will help travelers learn more about the history of the city.
As part of a new project created with the support of "Yandex", the "Yandex Travel" platform offers a thematic route "Veliky Novgorod - a millennium on two banks." This route includes a selection of museum locations for independent travelers who want to explore the sights of Veliky Novgorod, including both popular and lesser-known sites.
The route covers two sides of the city - Sofiyskaya and Torgovaya, and offers a walk through the iconic objects of the museum-reserve, starting from Victory-Sofiyskaya Square and further through the Kremlin to the "Great Bridge" museum. As part of the route, tourists can learn interesting historical facts.
Routes are available not only on a special website, but also through "Yandex.Maps". Each route object contains active links to obtain additional information about specific museum objects and monuments.
