Employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations are testing new robotic systems with remote control in real combat conditions. This was stated in an interview by the head of the department, Alexander Kurenkov.
According to him, the ministry pays special attention to the equipment and gear of employees.
Our task is to reduce risks. In such conditions, robotics with remote control is simply indispensable. We are testing new models on site.
A mine trawl and a self-propelled tracked complex were tested in the DPR. In the Zaporozhye region, the "Cedar" robotic complex is used. The autonomous platform helps to extinguish fires, conduct rescue operations, if there is a risk of shrapnel and high-explosive damage.
