Military personnel neutralized a remote mining area with PFM-1 "Lepestok" mines

The Russian Ministry of Defense has released footage of sapper units working on the front lines. To create a passage in a minefield for further engineering reconnaissance and demining, the soldiers used a portable extended charge ZRP-2 "Tropa", which allows making passages in anti-personnel minefields up to 2 m wide and up to 60 m long.

Upon arrival, an engineering reconnaissance of the area is carried out, the situation is assessed, after which the engineers begin to clear explosive objects.

In the footage, military personnel discovered a remote mining area with PFM-1 "Lepestok" anti-personnel mines in the immediate vicinity of a settlement.

The ZRP-2 "Tropa" extended demining charge is designed to create narrow passages, about 40 cm wide, in anti-personnel minefields by explosive means. The extended charge consists of a DKR-150A detonating cable 60 m long and weighing 34 kg. The extended charge is launched using a UP-60 launcher to a range of 140-160 m.
