AvtoVAZ's subsidiary, VIS-Avto, has not yet commissioned the painting complex, and it may be launched next year. At the same time, the company has fulfilled its annual production plan for cars based on Lada Niva and Lada Granta.
According to Avtograd, the recruited painters are currently "training" to paint door openings manually on bodies supplied from the parent company, while others are learning to fix paint defects.
They haven't even cleaned the primer baths. Equipment setup is proceeding at a slow pace, and the commissioning of the entire painting complex is now expected in 2025, with deadlines shifting to the right as has become tradition.
As it became known later, dealers have no more than 30 Lada Granta units with automatic transmissions in stock.
