AvtoVAZ's subsidiary, VIS-Avto, has not yet put the painting complex into operation; it may be launched next year. At the same time, the company has fulfilled its annual production plan for cars based on Lada Niva and Lada Granta.
According to Avtograd, the recruited painters are currently "training" to paint door openings manually on bodies supplied from the parent company, while another part is learning to eliminate paint defects.
They haven't even cleaned the primer baths. The equipment is being set up at a leisurely pace, and the entire painting complex is now expected to be launched in 2025, with deadlines shifting to the right as has become the tradition.
As it became known later, dealers have no more than 30 Lada Granta units with an automatic transmission in stock.
