The state company "Glonass" is launching the production of a new generation of emergency call devices (UVEOС 2.0) based on the "ERA-GLONASS" system. They represent a unique platform of services for drivers, according to the company's CEO Alexey Raikevich.

According to him, the solution will improve safety and convenience for millions of drivers and passengers. Raikevich noted that the smart device will monitor the equipment, and in the future the company intends to expand the range of uses for the new generation of devices. They can be used to search for a vehicle in case of theft.
Development Director of the UVEOС 2.0 manufacturer "Fort Telecom", Vladimir Makarenko, believes that new generation devices can be useful not only in case of accidents, but also in daily trips. To access the new features, owners of vehicles with installed "Fort Telecom" UVEOС only need to update the firmware of the terminals.
As a reminder, more than 11 million cars are currently connected to the state information system "ERA-GLONASS". The previous generation of UVEOС allowed to automatically or by pressing the "SOS" button transmit the coordinates and characteristics of the car to emergency services.
