In Russia, field tests have begun on an optical drone suppression system using the "Slepysh" laser emitter. When the laser hits the camera lens, the neural network or UAV operator becomes disoriented.
Andrey Bezrukov, Chairman of the Board of the Center for Unmanned Systems and Technologies, noted that there is currently a competition between electronic warfare systems and drones. The emergence of drones with machine vision systems has triggered the rapid development of electronic warfare.
The emitter forms a spot with a diameter of 1 meter at a distance of up to 100 meters. Its power allows it to burn through paper, and tests have shown that when it hits the lens, the operator becomes disoriented, and the neural network loses its target, buying time for our military.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the rarest BMD-3 was spotted during transportation by a tank carrier; only 137 of them were produced.
