Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighters have proven capable of operating at long ranges without revealing their own location to enemy radar stations. This was pointed out by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
He noted that the Su-57s can passively conduct radio-technical reconnaissance of the radar architecture of enemy anti-aircraft missile systems. To do this, they use the L-150 Pastel systems, or the N036 Belka in passive mode.
At the same time, Western SAM systems, in particular with the help of the RDS 36D6, are able to detect the Su-57 only at a distance of about 160 km. For comparison, the Su-35S will be noticed at a distance of 270 km.
