The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Kaliningrad Region clarified that there were no casualties

On Thursday afternoon, December 12, a fire broke out at the Pregol Shipyard in Kaliningrad. The fire spread over an area of about 100 square meters, according to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Kaliningrad Region.

Sandwich panels and roofing were burning in one of the workshops on an area of 80 m². More than 30 personnel and 9 special vehicles were involved in extinguishing the fire. The department clarified that there were no casualties. During the extinguishing of the fire, 40 liters of diesel fuel, 20 liters of acetone and one carbon dioxide cylinder were evacuated from the burning room.

The Pregol Shipyard owns the latest technologies in the field of ship repair and is equipped with modern equipment. The shipyard has three docks with a lifting capacity of 4,500 to 5,700 tons, and repairs about one hundred and fifty ships of various types annually. The total number of employees is about 500 people.
