“Devil's Chariot” of the Grad MLRS will sweep away enemy armored vehicles: 9M53F projectiles will ensure complete destruction

One of the most effective versions of the 9K51 Grad MLRS from the Tula NPO Splav remains the 122-mm 9K59 Prima MLRS. The main technical advantages of this system were the equipping with the latest 9M53F NURS with a detachable warhead with a high-explosive fragmentation warhead, as well as the integration of the KSAUO Kapustnik-B.

This made it possible to reduce the time spent in a firing position without lengthy surveying by 4-5 times, and also increase the effective area by 5-7 times destruction.

The 9M53F high-explosive fragmentation projectile has a detachable warhead, on which a 9E260-1 safety-type remote-contact fuse of remote-contact action is installed.

At the final section of the trajectory, the warhead meets the ground almost vertically, which ensures a circular dispersion of damaging elements, which increases the area of complete destruction.
