The "Gadfly" strike drone carries 3.5 kilograms of explosives. The drone is used in Russian troops. This was stated by Tula developer Andrei Ivanov.
According to him, a special algorithm allows the "Gadfly" to capture contrasting pixels and leads to a collision with them.
When the operator sees the target through the goggles, he presses a button on the remote control, and after that the aircraft flies there autonomously. It is not affected by third-party electronic warfare equipment or radio visibility impairment.
Among the features of the "Gadfly" is a remote detonation function and a self-destruction system. About 4,000 such drones have been delivered to the troops in the last month.
