New nanofluids for use in solar collectors have been created at the Kutateladze Institute of Thermophysics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. This was reported by the press service of the university.
The developed fluids have improved absorption and transmission characteristics of solar energy. Their composition includes carbon nanomaterials.
Nanofluids can also be used in other areas, such as cooling systems for microelectronics, electrochemical energy storage systems, processing of textile materials, biology, medicine, and more.
The development is planned to be used in both hybrid and thermal solar collectors. Scientists plan to further expand knowledge about nanofluids.
Earlier www1.ru reported that an innovative prismatic solar power plant was developed in Russia.
