The Zelenograd Nanotechnology Center (ZNTC) will launch mass production of microwave transformer microchips to replace foreign analogues. This was announced by the press service of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of the city of Moscow.
A microwave balun transformer based on a microchip is used in radio engineering, telecommunications and communications, as well as in navigation systems. The device expands the network coverage area without increasing the power of the transmitted signal, preventing overloads and equipment breakdowns.
The development took two years. The new product will enter the market in early 2025. The annual production capacity of the enterprise is 40 thousand units.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the first domestic UHF chip with a range of up to 14 meters was presented in Russia.
