"Rosoboronexport" has signed the first contracts for the supply of the Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighter. However, the state arms supplier did not name the buyer. According to Defensa, only 3 countries are ready to buy and operate the Su-57: North Korea, Algeria, and Iran.
Defensa journalists recalled that the leader of the DPRK had already inspected the Su-57. It is possible that North Korea is the secret buyer of the Russian fighters.
Kim Jong-un, accompanied by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, visited the factory in Komsomolsk-on-Amur in September 2023, where the Su-57 is produced.
According to Defensa, North Korea and Iran are sending their weapons systems to Russia. It is possible that both countries will receive the latest fighters.
