Mass production of Lada Iskra cars is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2025. This was reported by the press service of AvtoVAZ.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2024 hosted the world premiere of the Lada Iskra sedan, which was created on a fully localized global platform, and mass production of this family will start in the spring of 2025.
The release of Lada Iskra is not being postponed for the first time. Previously, the manufacturer promised to launch production of the model in February 2025. Before that, AvtoVAZ said that the car would be put on the assembly line at the end of 2024, and the start of sales was scheduled for 2025.
It is worth noting that the car was previously known as the Lada Granta of the second generation. The car was planned to be presented back in 2022. However, Renault ceased operations in Russia in the spring of the same year, AvtoVAZ came under state control, and the planned production dates were shifted.
Earlier www1.ru reported that all body panels of Lada Iskra are now galvanized.
