«Uralturbo» (part of «Gazprom Energoholding Industrial Assets») has created a manufacturing technology and started production of the power turbine casing for the TM16 engine. The new engine will replace imported analogues at Gazprom facilities.
The production and testing of the new TM16 marine gas turbine engine is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025.
It is worth noting that the plant has already mastered the production of spare parts for steam and gas turbines, as well as more than 200 types of turbine blades for stationary gas pumping units (GPU). Also, JSC «URALTURBO» modernizes rotors, HP-LP cylinder casings, air and gas diaphragms.
Earlier www1.ru reported that UEC produced 700 VK-2500 engines for the Ka-52 «Alligator» in 2024.
