The Russian Kasatka combat boat of project 2M.850 has successfully passed tests. Specialists checked the operability of the engines, navigation system, radio, and interceptors; all equipment showed stable operation.
The manufacturer of the new product is the VPK KMZ "Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant" holding; the company signed a contract to build six units for 120 million rubles by order of one of the Russian security agencies.
The boat is very light and maneuverable, reaching a speed of 90 km/h. It will be used to protect water bodies and patrol the water area. The boat is equipped with two outboard boat motors of 225 hp each.
