В МФЦ без паспорта: власти разрешат получать госуслуги с помощью биометрии

The experiment will take place in three regions of Russia

In the Chelyabinsk region, by the end of 2024, the use of biometric technologies will be allowed when serving in the MFC. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko.

Biometrics will be available as an additional way to verify identity. You can use a passport or biometric technologies to receive services. A wide range of them will become available to those Russians who use the Unified Biometric System.

They also plan to allow service in the MFC without a passport in the Lipetsk and Leningrad regions. However, in these regions, this opportunity will appear later than in the Chelyabinsk region.

Note that the authorities are actively introducing biometric technologies into the lives of Russians. A biometric travel service will be launched in the Kazan metro by the end of the year; similar services are being prepared for launch in Nizhny Novgorod, Samara and other cities.
