The first pre-production models of the Russian electric car "Atom" are planned to be released by the end of 2024, and mass production is scheduled for mid-2025. This was announced by the head of public relations for the "Atom" brand, Daria Tomilina.
The production of new cars will be organized at the facilities of the "Moskvich" car plant, where the company has leased a production line, having pre-equipped it. With a planned production volume of 30,000 cars per year, the plant is counting on steady demand.
To date, the "Atom" brand already has 105,000 pre-orders from individuals and organizations, which indicates a high interest in the model. Prices for the electric car will range from 2 to 4 million rubles.
As for the technical characteristics, the "Atom" electric car will be equipped with an electric motor on the rear axle with a capacity of 205 hp. It will be equipped with a 77 kWh lithium-ion battery, which will provide a range of up to 500 km. The car will be able to accelerate to 100 km/h in just 8 seconds, which makes it an attractive option in the electric vehicle market.
