He recalled that JDAM-ERs have passive broadband radar sensors that provide detection of jamming radiation from the Zhitel, Serp-VS5, Pole-21, and other electronic warfare systems deployed at an operational depth of up to 50 - 90 km. The range of the aerial bomb itself is up to 75 km.
Calculations of electronic warfare systems of the Russian Armed Forces of any type and purpose, deployed at a distance of up to 95 km from the intended JDAM-ER drop lines from the suspension units of MiG-29A, Su-27 and F-16AM/BM, should be assigned an individual Tor-M2 military air defense system, or Pantsir-S1 SAM system, capable of intercepting 16 and 12 JDAM-ER enemy gliding guided aerial bombs during single enemy strikes.
