The "Ruselectronics" holding (part of Rostec) has begun supplying camouflage radio-absorbing kits to the Russian army for heavy flamethrower systems TOS-2 ("Tosochka"). The first products are already being used on the front lines, and they have proven their effectiveness.
The basis of the new camouflage is radio-absorbing fabric and panels with camouflage material, which are fixed on the armor and do not interfere with movement. This allows you to hide the weapon from detection during combat use, as well as during parking and on the march.
The new material absorbs radiation in the optical and near-IR range. This makes it possible to effectively counter modern guidance systems, as well as detection by thermal imagers. The coating can be applied continuously. Soil and dust that get on it during operation are washed off with water.
Earlier, themain technical difference between the TOS-3 "Dragon" and the "Solntsepek" and "Tosochka" became known. The machine received a promising automated guidance and fire control system.
