A video from the navigator's workplace of a Ka-52 helicopter has been circulating online. In this combat episode, the crew of the machine struck an enemy reconnaissance drone with a "Vikhr" missile.
The munition eliminated the aerial target with a precise hit, despite the small size of the UAV and its very low thermal radiation due to the electric motor. This is the first known example of the use of such ammunition against a drone.
It demonstrates that the accuracy and controllability characteristics embedded in the missile allow it to hit even such complex objects that are not included in the circle of typical targets.
Rostec reminded that "Vikhrs" are also used to destroy enemy armored vehicles, including those in shelters or in motion, as well as to defeat firing points, camouflaged and protected objects. The developer of the missile is the enterprise of the Kalashnikov group of companies, which is part of the High-Precision Complexes holding.
Earlier, The National Interest called the Russian T-72 tank the greatest in the world. Journalists stated Russia's ability to mass-produce modern modifications of the combat vehicle.
